Few people are familiar with the glacial environment as in the Pyrenees the glaciers and small and many choose to avoid them.  However, it can be very different in other mountain ranges such as the Alps, the Andes or the Himalayas. Many accidents occur due to a lack of knowledge or simply due to careless or reckless behaviour.  This course is very specific and is aimed at mountaineers, skiers and climbers who may have to cross glaciers from time to time, or for those who want to learn the techniques as a sport in itself.

Equipment needed:

Crampons, ice ax, harness, helmet, carabiners HMS 1 9mm rope every 2 / 3pax, 7mm and 2mm slings and others of different sizes plus equipment and winter clothing.
